Sport Results

First offspring were 2000 USDF Horses of the Year! Sport Horse Breeding Yearling Filly Champion (SterLoded; median 77.5%) and Yearling Colt/Gelding Reserve Champion (Star Attraction; median 75%).

Both of Lodestar’s "test crop" 1999 offspring were sport horse breed show winners in their respective divisions in 1999 as well as bringing home a Local Bred Young Horse High Score Award and winning Best Get Of Sire classes. At a May 2000 USDF/AHSA Breed Show, the yearling filly, SterLoded was Champion Filly (three and under), and her ½ brother, Star Attraction, was second in his competitive class. The 4 month old filly, Teagan Star (Maile x Lodestar), was third in her division and together with SterLoded won the Best Get of Sire class at two separate shows.

2001 USDF Sport Horse Breeding Horse of the Year results show Lodestar with THREE offspring in the Top Pinnings. (Umber Star as a Current Year Filly pinning seventh, Teagan Star as a Yearling Filly standing in eleventh position, and SterLoded as a Two Year Old Filly ranking eleventh).

2001 began with all three filly offspring bringing home the Blue at the USDF April Breed Show and yearling Teagan Star was Young Filly Champion! This was followed by top ribbons for all the fillies at the next show in August and culminated in Umber Star being pinned Res Champion Filly at 6 months of age at a USDF September Show. Not to be undone by his sisters, Star Attraction scored 8.0 for conformation and walk from Hilda Gurney in November and pinned second (76.5%) in his only show of 2001. Lodestar’s offspring were also undefeated in USDF Breed Show "Get of Sire" Classes in 2000 and 2001.

2002 was a limited show year due to the owner’s broken leg.

One breed show in the fall with UmberStar in attendance produced a blue ribbon and the owners of SterLoded continued her successful show career now in-hand and undersaddle with wins.

2003 started off with a Bang

The yearling gelding Valenstar made his daddy, Lodestar, proud by beating out approx. 20 entries (and winning 3 classes) for the Young Horse Championship at Pennock Farms w/ Diedrich Felgendreher (also a finals judge for 100 day testing) judging confirming my breeding program strength. Valenstar, pinned 5th in Horse of the Year Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Nationally and the two year old filly, Umberstar, picked up a 3rd in DSHB Horse of the Year for the Dutch. Additionally, all 4 of the Maile x Lodestar offspring have now worn the Regional qualifier neck ribbon. Furthermore, Lodestar had offspring winning in eventing and dressage in 2003. As Lodestar's oldest offspring were only 4 years in 2003, I was pleased to see so many of his offspring already being shown successfully. Only one, who is not broke, has not seen a show ring.

2004 and the offspring are pulling in the ribbons!

With multiple dressage sport horse site wins and championships, the younger Lodestar offspring finished Fourth in Material Horse of the Year and 7th in the 2002 Geldings HOY rankings. Older offspring continue their success in dressage and eventing venues.

2005 and all offspring are now under saddle!

The two youngest offspring both competed in Materiale (undersaddle) at the DSHB shows finishing 4th and 8th in the national year end results in their divisions! Both also obtained neck ribbons in their DSHB Championship classes qualifying them for the Regional Finals! (They did not attend the Regionals due to distance.)

2006 and all offspring are sold. (Frozen Semen from Lodestar is stilll available for those who wish to breed their own foals).
