Classic Collection Mares

As with all good breeding programs, the mares should be as strong as your stallion and Classic Collection Farms believes they have found two quality Dutch mares to start their breeding program. Both mares have successful performance records and proven bloodlines.

Maile
(Ijsselmeer x Zoolog)

1994 First Premium flashy bay 16.2 dutch mare with 4 white socks and blaze.

Maile had been this amateur owner’s dressage horse prior to "time off" as a broodmare. She was Fourth place at Training Level in the 1998 USDF All Breeds Awards with a median score of 66.9% and competed at Regionals pinning in the ribbons when eight months in foal. Although she was always sound, she was only ridden lightly due to this owners time constraints during her (four foals) breeding years. She sucessfully returned to the dressage ring in 2005. Maile was High Point at Second Level with a 70% with her amateur owner from a "S" judge in Jan, 2006. She then helped her owner win the Dover Second Level Medal class the next month. In February 2007, being judged by Gary Rockwell “O”, another Second Level Dover Medal was brought home with a score of 66.8%.Maile helped
her amateur owner win another High Point Championship in June 2007 and completed the 2007 year with the Dover Merit Medal.

Beginning in 2000 she had been competing at In-Hand shows with her offspring and she was a commanding presence. She won her division at her first breed show in May 2000 (USDF/AHSA) scoring a whooping 84.75% with 9’s on trot and general impression. At her second USDF/AHSA show (8/00) she won her Broodmare class and was Reserve Champion of the Show! Maile finished the 2000 year Fourth at the SE Championship Series Finals in the three and older mare division (with 8’s on trot) and was sixth overall in the Mature Horse Division while eight months in foal. She was USDF Champion Horse of the Year 2000 for the Broodmare division (median score 80.3%). During the 2001 Show Season she was Mare Champion, as well as, Mature Horse Champion at her three Breed Series qualifying shows! 2001 ended successfully with Maile pinning third in the USDF Horse of the Year Broodmare division as well as USDF SE USA Finals Mare division. Additionally, all Maile's offspring have worn DSHB qualifier ribbons! (please see under offspring on this site)

16.2, bay with 4 socks, blaze this first premium dutch mare has the most wonderful disposition. As a paraplegic, she uses her seat, voice, and whips as her only aids. Lauren and Maile competed in the 2008 Paralympic Games in Beijing (Hong
Kong) winning the SILVER Individual Medal (68.4%) and the GOLD Medal in the Freestyle (72.7%)!!. This was the first time a Canadian won an equestrian gold medal in the Paralympics.
