Hand Lodestar was ranked USDF Horse of the Year Sport Horse Breeding Reserve Champion Stallion in 2000. (HOY was not offered in 1999). Median Score was 86.5% .This was the second highest year end score in any of the sport horse divisions! Lodestar was not shown In-Hand during 2001 so his offspring could concentrate on their performances. It is also nice to note that while Lodestar consistently scored 8's or better for his walk and trot by In-Hand Judges, he also scored 8 for his canter by the ISR/Oldenburg Judges--a gait that is not judged at In-Hand shows. |

Lodestar won all the June 26th 1999 Mature Stallion classes and finished Reserve Champion for the 1999 Sunshine Classic Sport Horse Show & Series (only pinning behind a multiple Devon Mare Champion). At the November 1999 AHSA/USDF Breed show, Lodestar again won all the Mature Stallion classes (qualifying for 2000 finals) scoring an amazing 88% under saddle! He finished Champion for the Mature Horse Division and Grand Champion of the Show! Dressage at Canterbury (FL) was held February 26, 2000 and Lodestar again won the stallion class and was high score of the breed show with 89% ( 9s on conformation and gaits)! Julys Summer Sizzler (FL) 2000 again saw Lodestar in the "winners ring" with 86.5% in the stallion class and the high point score. 2000 ended on a high note with Lodestar again the Champion Stallion at the USDF Southeast USA Championship Series Breed Show Finals. |

Under Saddle Lodestar entered the dressage ring in the 1999 Show season and had numerous wins at USDF/AHSA shows and easily qualified for Regional at his levels. He finished Reserve Champion for the Florida State Dressage Championships at Training Level that year and at First Level the following year. 2000 was a light show year under saddle due to owners hand injuries and early 2001 had Lodestar back in the show ring winning at Second Level. 2002 was a light show year due to the owners broken leg but Lodestar was shown Fourth Level in a double bridle with the intentions of moving up to PSG in the Spring of 2003. Lodestar has developed a nice piaffe at this time also. 2003 will also have him jumping again with Hilda Hick. |

| Jumping Although Lodestar's owner had concentrated on his dressage abilities, and Lodestar has been jumped infrequently, he scored an 8 on jumping skills and technique from the ISR/Oldenburg Judges. This was in the Fall of 2001 with Event Rider of the Year, Hilda Hick, riding him over 3'6-4'0 jumps. Lodestar definitely enjoyed the change from the dressage ring while maintaining a very mellow attitude and even pace over the obstacles. 2003 has Lodestar jumping with Hilda Hick again. She tells us that Lodestar is her favorite jumper in her barn. Schooling 4'3 in June of 2003 he already pinned second in a 3'9 class on his second outing. He continued to show well in jumpers till the fall of 2003 when his focus was changed to eventing. Hilda Hick has been enthusiastic about Lodestar's attitude and ability during his eventing competitions and has rapidly progressed him to a preliminary event already in Jan of 2004 where he went clean (but a missed flag kept him out of the ribbons.) Lodestar and Hilda continued their partnership in the prelim division with a fifth in the panhandle and a second at Rockinghorse (Florida) qualifying them for a One Star international event. Lodestar also successfully completed that Virginia event in May of 2004 as well as, the Preliminary Championships in the fall. Early 2005 Lodestar was sold through Don Stewart's barn to a Chicago client, the Morris family, as a hunter/jumper. He was Jr Hunter Champion his first AA competition with his new rider! |

| Offspring As of 7/03 four (out of the five who have been shown) of Lodestar's offspring have worn the USDF DSHB regional qualifier neck ribbon! In addition, three have pinned in the Top Ten for USDF Horse of the Year awards with one being Champion! Even more have finished Top Ten for the Dutch DSHB HOY standings. As of Jan '04, all but one (which has not been shown) offspring have successfully won in dressage, event, and/or breed shows! |
